Welcome! My name is Emily and I am a graduate student and soon to be registered dietitian. I grew up in Minnesota with a natural curiosity surrounding food and wellness (having a mom who is also a dietitian definitely played a role). I received my Bachelors degree in Dietetics from the University of Minnesota before choosing to attend graduate school at the University of Michigan. Right now I’m completing my dietetic internship part-time while I finish my graduate degree AKA I’m working for free to get experience in different areas of nutrition in order to be eligible to sit for the RD exam. Outside of work, I spend most of my free time experimenting in the kitchen, exploring the outdoors and new restaurants in the Ann Arbor area and spending quality time with my friends and family.
When it comes to living a healthy lifestyle, I truly believe it doesn’t have to be hard! Small steps each day are key to creating those life-long habits! With a holistic approach to wellness, I focus my efforts on what you put in your body, how you move and how you feel in both your professional and personal life, as these all play important roles in wellbeing. By working together to identify your own unique strengths, I hope to help you discover realistic and sustainable strategies to help you achieve your personal best! Welcome to The Balanced Table!
